Stemming from the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-CE 25), the Lantern Festival, also known as, the Spring Lantern Festival is a Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar Chinese calendar, marking the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations.
